Jeg st\u00e5r midt i et prosjekt. Det finnes en forretningsplan, med en definert retning for hvor ferden skal g\u00e5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For et par uker siden kom et mulig oppdrag seilende forbi. Av natur l\u00e5 det litt p\u00e5 siden av planens fartsretning, men det luktet god butikk<\/em>. Min faglige bakgrunn var ikke helt optimal. Skitt au, tenkte jeg, man er da sulten og mulighetsorientert! Ingen har anledning til \u00e5 v\u00e6re kresen. S\u00e5 jeg snur meg rundt<\/em> og begynner p\u00e5 anbudet. Det gikk en del tid med.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utfallet ble som jeg innerst inne visste det ville bli. Da tenkte jeg nok en gang p\u00e5 Arne<\/em>, en bekjent gjennom mange \u00e5r. Av profesjon var han seriegr\u00fcnder, men brukte mye av sin fritid i organisasjonslivet. Jeg var ansatt i organisasjonen og var Arnes utvalgssekret\u00e6r. Under et planleggingsm\u00f8te utl\u00f8ste en spesifikk aktivitet en diskusjon rundt bordet. Det var da Arne sa; \u00abMen hjelper dette oss til \u00e5 n\u00e5 v\u00e5re m\u00e5l?\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Den brant seg fast i pannebrasken p\u00e5 en ung utvalgssekret\u00e6r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For noen dager siden kom nok en mulighet rekende. Igjen rykket det i h\u00f8yrebenet. Da jeg skulle begynne \u00e5 skrive anbud kunne jeg formelig h\u00f8re stemmen til Arne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skal ikke<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Du har helt rett, Arne. Heller ikke denne muligheten vil hjelpe meg \u00e5 n\u00e5 mine m\u00e5l<\/em>, tenkte jeg i mitt stille sinn. Gevinst p\u00e5 kort sikt, men ogs\u00e5 denne muligheten var en cul-de-sac. Det er <\/em>ikke dette jeg skal bruke tiden p\u00e5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeg ringte oppdragsgiver, takket vennlig for muligheten og grunnga med at kapasiteten forhindrer meg. Som sant var<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vi vet at for \u00e5 oppfylle strategien og n\u00e5 resultatene m\u00e5 man gj\u00f8re de riktige<\/em> tingene. Og selvf\u00f8lgelig gj\u00f8re<\/em> dem riktig<\/em>. Michael Porter<\/a> og hans likemenn har skrevet spaltekilometer om dette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Da m\u00e5 vi velge hvilke aktiviteter som har betydning for \u00e5 n\u00e5 strategien, og i hvilken rekkef\u00f8lge de skal gjennomf\u00f8res. Det er en krevende \u00f8velse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eliminere<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00c5 prioritere er \u00e5 velge, men like mye \u00e5 velge bort<\/em>. \u00c5 eliminere<\/em>. Det er en langt mer krevende strategisk \u00f8velse, og den naturlige og praktiske gjennomf\u00f8ringen av \u00e5 prioritere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Den vanskeligste<\/em> \u00f8velsen er ikke<\/em> \u00e5 henfalle til \u00e5 gj\u00f8re det man har valgt bort. N\u00e5r man m\u00f8ter vektige motargumenter. Hvis man kommer under press. Hvis man st\u00e5r alene om noe, hvis man st\u00e5r alene som leder. Vi er bare mennesker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Det krever standhaftighet. For vi vet<\/em> hva som er riktig. \u00c5 holde seg til strategien, om s\u00e5 den er feil, og gjennomf\u00f8re. Holde seg til planen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c5 falle for slike fristelser (muligheter) er ikke et uttrykk for manglende selvdisiplin. For de fleste av oss er det naturstridig \u00e5 la muligheter seile forbi uten \u00e5 gripe dem. Selv n\u00e5r vi vet vi ikke<\/em> b\u00f8r. Det strider mot instinkter og grunntanken om \u00e5 vokse og skape resultater. Vi vil da fremst\u00e5 som aktive og sultne, og ikke skuffe oppdragsgiver? Tanken p\u00e5 at vi kanskje ikke vil bli spurt igjen ligger latent i oss. Man skal fors\u00f8rge seg og sine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Det var en periode for noen ti\u00e5r siden hvor diversifisering<\/em> var en popul\u00e6r \u00f8velse. Mange selskaper gikk inn ukjente markeder. Noen \u00e5r senere m\u00e5tte mange gjennom bots\u00f8velsen \u00abback to basic<\/em>\u00bb. Bli ved din lest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vi m\u00e5 oftere minne oss selv p\u00e5 hva vi har valgt bort<\/em>. Da kan det v\u00e6re lurt \u00e5 ha en r\u00e5dgiver som kjenner planen og kan minne om hva man ikke<\/em> skal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
