Har vi blitt for fokusert p\u00e5 positivitet? Kommer positivitet og det \u00e5 v\u00e6re \u00abhyggelig\u00bb i veien for ansvarlighet, \u00e6rlige samtaler og i siste instans, det \u00e5 skape resultater?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

I en artikkel i Harvard Business Review diskuterer Victor Lipman understyring (\u00abunder-management\u00bb) som en motpol til mikrostyring<\/a>. Mange virksomheter lider fordi deres ledere ikke driver med nok ledelse. De holder ikke medarbeiderne ansvarlig for resultatene, men velger i stedet \u00e5 v\u00e6re hyggelige, \u2014 og bli likt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En selvsikker ung leder jeg kjenner er ekstremt fokusert p\u00e5 resultater. Han smeller med pisken og s\u00f8rger for at medarbeiderne f\u00e5r ting gjort. Han fnyser av det vi driver med i coaching og lederutvikling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N\u00e5r han sier \u00abpositivitet\u00bb, er det med et snerr. N\u00e5r han sier \u00abmyke ferdigheter\u00bb er det med et h\u00e5nlig flir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abVi trenger resultater. Lederutviklerne er spr\u00f8. De distraherer oss slik at vi ikke f\u00e5r de resultatene vi skal levere!\u00bb, sier han.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ordentlig ubehagelig<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For meg, som ledertrener p\u00e5 anklagebenken, er hans perspektiv og skarpe utfall mot lederutvikling ordentlig ubehagelig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Men han har rett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Men samtidig er det positive perspektivet ogs\u00e5 rett. Vi trenger begge deler. Vi trenger et kompromissl\u00f8st resultatfokus, og vi trenger \u00e5 oppleve positivitet mens vi jager resultatene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vi trenger ryggrad, og vi trenger hjerte. Ryggraden gir oss st\u00f8tten vi trenger for \u00e5 sette grenser og ansvarliggj\u00f8re hverandre. Hjertet trenger vi for \u00e5 passe p\u00e5 flokken v\u00e5r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noen av oss har en sterk ryggrad og et kj\u00f8lig hjerte, andre har et varmt hjerte og en svak rygg. Som leder er din utfordring \u00e5 g\u00e5 ut av komfortsonen og omfavne den delen av deg som du har vanskeligst for \u00e5 v\u00e6re med.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En god balanse mellom begge er n\u00f8dvendig for \u00e5 gj\u00f8re en god jobb og skape resultater, l\u00f8nnsomhet og b\u00e6rekraft i virksomheten din.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hjernens prioritering<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lipman sier at \u00abet for sterkt \u00f8nske om \u00e5 bli likt kan st\u00e5 i veien for produktiv ledelse, fordi det gj\u00f8r at du kvier deg for \u00e5 gj\u00f8re det du m\u00e5 gj\u00f8re\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\u00e5re dype, medf\u00f8dte neurologiske prosesser i hjernen prioriterer tilh\u00f8righet og trygghet fremfor alt annet, og det blir ofte en barri\u00e9re. Hjernen pr\u00f8ver \u00e5 hindre oss i alt som truer tilh\u00f8righet, inkludert det \u00e5 risikere at b\u00e5ten blir ust\u00f8dig og velter. Derfor passer den p\u00e5 at vi g\u00e5r lange veier rundt konflikt og konfrontasjoner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Det er ofte synonymt med \u00e5 unnlate \u00e5 holde andre ansvarlige for resultater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Som ledere m\u00e5 vi sette v\u00e5re personlige, instinktbaserte behov til side, og heller se p\u00e5 hva som er best for virksomheten som helhet. Det er ubehagelig, \u2014 en stund, s\u00e5 bygger vi muskler og opplever at ubehaget oppveies av de positive effektene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tips for varme hjerter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For deg som har et varmt hjerte: Fokuser mer p\u00e5 resultater, ansvarlighet og konsekvenser n\u00e5r ting ikke blir gjort f\u00f8r du s\u00f8ker hygge og positivitet. F\u00f8lg opp forpliktelser, andres og dine egne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Det er tross alt en psykologisk kontrakt mellom ansatt og arbeidsgiver. Virksomheten betaler for \u00e5 f\u00e5 en jobb gjort. Som ledere er det v\u00e5r jobb \u00e5 passe p\u00e5 at denne kontrakten etterleves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tips for sterke rygger<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For deg som har en sterk rygg: Du er fokusert p\u00e5 resultater, og det har antagelig g\u00e5tt p\u00e5 bekostning av trivsel, mestrings- og selvf\u00f8lelse. Det er p\u00e5 tide du legger inn en dose positivitet, omsorg for andre inkludert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Du skal v\u00e6re bevisst din effekt og hva det gir eller tar fra menneskene rundt deg. L\u00e6r \u00e5 v\u00e6re resultatorientert uten \u00e5 skape en fryktkultur. Legg pisken i en skuff sammen med klandring og trakassering. Du trenger ikke en pisk for \u00e5 sikre ansvarlighet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
